Shelter Island Town Police Department - Office of the Chief of Police
The Shelter Island Town Police Department was established on September 13, 1971 by resolution of the Town Board. Prior to its establishment, law enforcement was carried out by a Constabulary. Below is a list of the Chief Constables and Chiefs of Police from 1933 to the present.
