Sergeant Anthony Rando began his career in law enforcement in 2010 when he was hired as an officer with the Shelter Island Police and was promoted to Sergeant in January of 2022. Sergeant Rando is responsible for the Patrol Division, youth, and community services, and is the Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator and Deputy Accreditation Program Manager within the department.
Sergeant Rando is a three-time recipient of the Officer of the Year Award.
